Elfender
by posted Apr 1,2011

Clusters of flickering sunflowers are consistently generating sunshine points, while new waves of skull-headed zombies are menacing. This is the typical graphic of the game of Plants vs. Zombies that has made itself a household name the moment it was launched into the market. For anyone who likes this game, good news is coming that a new game named Elfender simulating and exceeding Plants vs. Zombies will soon be available in the market.

Elfender is mainly featured as a browser-based tower defense game, yet characterized by the proportionate mixture of genres including management, adventure, strategy and puzzle-solving. The game begins with a traditional back story that a lunatic and amoral scientist has produced legions of zombies to destroy mankind so as to usurp the leadership of the world. Here are two confronting sides, and players are free to pick up either: guarding plants or invading zombies. Each side contains dozens of different species, such as the “star grass” able to generate sunshine on the bright side and the “digger” powerful in defense behind tombs on the dark side. As usual, players start with creating their own characters that will possess five common attributes, known as power, defense, stamina, agility and luck. Next, they can engage into the strategic competition.

With private sectors as bases on both sides, players can only win victory by mastery control of the overall situation and quick-minded response to versatile patterns in process. This game also introduces interesting PvP modes to meet players’ needs. In the competing lobby, players can choose to participate in free mode or random mode. Free mode requires equal members in confronting teams; while random mode has a high limit of three players from the same side but make up with more exciting contents thanks to the unexpected randomness of opponents. And this game offers differentiated quests from main tasks to side and daily ones. Also the dress-up system of this game will allow players to feast their eyes on the noted brands of fashion attires while indulgent in this game.

Apart from what mentioned, players can also choose to make friends and interact with them via various platforms, to use available cards to summon assistant monsters and elves in a battle and increase the power of those cards by way of synthesizing, enhancing and alchemizing, and to game against artificial intelligence in the mode of training field like playing console games, etc. Yet, the list of fun is not ending. Why not play and make your own comment?
