AIKA is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online role playing game.  In its fantasy world, the demon-like Zerecas have corrupted and enslaved the monsters and creatures in the land in their plan to rid the world of all Humans.  The goddess AIKA created the fairy-like Prans to ally with the Humans against the Zereca.  Will the humans and their new allies defeat their evil attackers or be torn apart by internal war?
Besides boasting the standard MMO features like questing, dungeon-running and crafting, AIKA is heavily focused on PvP features.  AIKA is optimized for large scale Nation Wars where thousands of players can fight at one time.  In Aika you can: fight for control over your nation during a Castle Siege, attack an enemy nation to capture their magical artifacts to boost your nation’s power, and participate in a variety of exciting PvP games in the battlegrounds.

Altar System:

Each nation has an altar to the goddess Aika.  This altar is used for storing important national treasures and for giving sacrifices for the prosperity of the country.  Specifically the altars store some of the nation’s gold supply and materials used to upgrade magical artifacts.

Altars are holy places and store items that are extremely important to the nation.  Because of this they have great protection, and are heavily guarded.  Besides guards, each altar is protected by several guardian stones.  After the three primary guardian stones are crushed, a final guardian stone appears at the altar.  If this guardian stone is destroyed then the altar is weakened and can be stolen from.

Citizens may invade an enemy nation and destroy the guardian stones and finally rob the altar.  The destroyed stones are regenerated in one hour.  Once the guardian stones are destroyed then anyone may steal from the altar, even if you are not a member of the attacking nation.

If you steal from an altar then your nation will gain some of the gold that was stored in the victim nation’s altar along with some of the special items stored there.  If you are alone when you steal then you can get 20% of the collected gold and 5% EXP to your next level.  If you are in a group when you steal from the altar then the stolen gold is split among the party members equally, and each of you will gain 5% EXP towards your next level.

If your nation’s altar is robbed, then the goddess Aika will be displeased.  Her displeasure will bring a curse upon your nation.  For the next hour the monsters in your nation will have their attack increased by 50% and the drop rate will be reduced by 30%.  But your altar will be safe from attack for a while….

Magical Artifacts – Relics

Powerful ancient artifacts are very important in Aika.  Every artifact your nation possesses grants every member of your nation with a powerful blessing.

You will spend a lot of time defending your artifacts and doing lightning quick raids into your enemy nations’ territory in-order to capture their artifacts!

Your nation can upgrade its artifacts to make them even more powerful!  Besides requiring gold from the nation’s national treasury, special magical ores must be used in the upgrade process.  To obtain these special ores you must raid an enemy nation and collect these ores from their territory.

It is a join effort of all citizens to upgrade the artifacts.  The nation’s citizens can donate ores and other items to help upgrade their artifacts.  Depending on what you donate, you are rewarded with experience or special crafting recipies.

Work together and collect and defend as many magical artifacts as possible!

Story

Birth of the Humans

In ancient times stood the Arcan, a land created by the deity known as Aika.  This land was populated by creations of Aika – the Scinic.  The Scinic were a kind and just race, whose societies grew and evolved for three centuries.  But with no conflict to avert, the Scinic grew restless and disenchanted with life.  The Scinic elders blamed Aika for the lack of purpose in their lives but still decided to ask her for mercy.  They wished only to rest under the land of Arcan until a time in which their lives could have more meaning.

Though Aika’s first creations had failed her, she realized there must be a balance of good and evil for harmony to be achieved.  In order to achieve this balance, Aika created the humans.  She placed the humans on the land of Arcan to thrive and grow as a civilization.  But soon she learned that her second creation was also flawed.  The Arcan land began to be tainted with wars, bigotry and growing immorality.

Infuriated and disappointed with her creations, Aika struggled to make the Arcan a utopia for all her creatures.  In her rage to cleanse the land, she created the Zereca – creatures that contained a piece of her.  The Zereca was to act as a judge and jury to disinfect the Arcan of all the evils that had grown.

Retreat to the Sky

Aika grew tired and worn because of the distress brought upon by her creatures.  She viewed her creations from above and began to be remoreseful in the creation of the Zereca, a race created in anger.  Soon the Zereca scourge the land and ran bloodthirsty with power, bringing the other creations close to extinction.  They are forced to hide in fear.  As a last resort, she called upon the Great Prophet Giovanni to perform a mass exodus to Lakia.  With her remaining power she lifted the land of Lakia into the sky, away from the clutches of the Zereca.  Finally, Aika fell into a deep sleep and the fragments of her essence in the Zereca caused them to share her slumber.

The Awakening

Three hundred years have passed and the land of Humans has prospered.  In the distance, Aika begins to stir and wake, along with the Zereca.  In their weakened state, the Zereca create the Jerennises to spread dark energy to the land in preparation of their awakening.  Feeling this dark energy, Aika creates her own creatures to help the humans, the Pran.

And so begins the war of Arcan, and the Aika’s awakening…
