Business Tycoon Online launches Elite Battle

Just as the excitement of the BTO World Cup event has passed, DOVOGAME has again set pulses racing with the announcement of the BTO Arena returning once more, as the BTO Elite Battle. This activity works on the almost the same basic principles and format as the BTO World Cup, but on a much bigger scale.

Excluding the Qualification rounds, there are three different tournaments that make up Elite Battle. These are the Weekly Tournaments, Monthly Tournament, and the Inter-Server Tournament. This completes one season of Elite Battle. When the Inter-Server tournament ends, one player will be crowned the BTO Elite Battle Champion, having beaten all those across all servers, as well as their own.

The season will start with a Qualification round. From this open round, the top 32 will advance to the first Weekly Tournament. In total, 4 weekly tournaments will be played, and the top 2 from each will enter the Monthly Tournament. Those already qualified for the following rounds, can play again in the previous round, although their position will be overlooked to find new qualifiers. Winners of the tournament will then play the Inter-Server Tournament, to find the Ultimate Champion of Business Tycoon Online Elite Battle.

The interesting difference between Elite Battle and the previous BTO World Cup is the slight change in format. From Weekly Tournament and onwards, there are two changes. Firstly, as the tournament progresses, the limit of employees assigned to a team increases. This means the teams will be progressively stronger, and much more training will be required. Secondly, the tournament will also employ a best-of-three knockout system, rather than the previous ranking system. This makes team formation all the more important, as you will only have a limited chance to progress to the next round. Compared with the previous BTO World Cup, it seems as though Elite Battle will be even more fearsome, exciting and intense!

The first qualification round will start July 17th 2010 00:00 PDT. Be sure to prepare your team!
