Gameforge announces Web browser MMO Star Trek

With a platform claiming millions of registered accounts in twenty games online (including ogame, Ikariam, or Gladiatus Metin 2 or 4Story), German Gameforge a new title in its catalog, a web based MMO Star Trek license.

The studio in Karlsruhe announced today that it has indeed signed a partnership with the CBS Star Trek rights holder, allowing it to reach and operate an MMO “Free to Play playable on Web browser, targeted at gamers casual. We do not know much at this hour (no title or details about the gameplay), except that the game is expected during 2011.

This new project should not have any impact on Star Trek Online, the MMO developed by Cryptic studio and operator license already famous science fiction.
