How to Play the browser game – World of Lordcraft
by posted Aug 25,2010 at 01:08

As many web-game players know, in most of these games, no matter how high the level of buildings is, the appearance always look exactly the same. For those gamers who advocate ‘the look does matter’, it can be a boring experience.
But now, one web game changes this situation—-the buildings & structures can change along with the level. You won’t believe some simple buildings will be so perfect beyond imagination when you begin this game. In fact, when your buildings & structures up to the certain level, behold, your kingdom won’t disappoint you!

This recently highly anticipated game is World of Lordcraft which is developed and operated by Thunderstorm Entertainment, Inc. And now I will teach you how to build your own building, and upgrade it to become a marvelous building?

When you login World of Lordcraft, there will be a building list in the middle of the interface when you click any empty land in the castle. You can move mouse on the building icons, and view the preconditions, information of consumptions, and basic functions of this building from the floating window there. Then you can see the time remaining to complete the construction and finish time. Just remember to confirm what construction you want to build.

When you’re choosing the to-be-built construction, some construction icons are grey and cannot be clicked, which means the preconditions of building are not reached. Preconditions that not satisfied are displayed with the red text. And it’s very important that the same-function constructions of different races are of different names and appearance. For example, in human’s castle, the headquarters is called Political Center and in orc’s castle it is called Chieftain Palace.

You can upgrade your construction except for the Cathedral of the human castle and Statue of Warlord of the orc castle, because they have only one level. Click the construction you need to upgrade, you can choose upgrade or demolish. At this interface you can also view the conditions of upgrading constructions, and functions of the next level. When you click ‘upgrade’, the construction start to upgrade, and interface displays the time to upgrade and the finish time .

As for players who pursue high efficiency, you can buy the speed up items in the Magic Shop. Click ‘Speed up’ button at the game interface, and select the corresponding items. This convenient action can reduce the time of building or upgrading construction, even more buildings can be constructed or upgraded at the same time.
Of course, you can select the other operations if you are not satisfied with your construction. For example, you can cancel the building progress which you are not satisfied with; you can also select ‘Demolish’ to gradually remove the building level by level. Players must remove the building after careful consideration, because the refunded resources will be less than the resources cost in construction, and it also occupies you some time.

When you raise the level of the building, you’ll find the significant evolvement of its structure, and it will be more beautiful in a top level. In the end, you’ll get the unexpected surprises!

City of Wonder: Strategy Game by PlayDom
by posted Aug 19,2010 at 03:08

PlayDom, an online social game publisher and developer, today announced a new facebook strategy game City of Wonder shortly after the strategy game Verdonia was introduced for facebook platform.

Come back into the game every day for your daily bonus. The more days in a row you visit, and the more Allies you have, and whether you have “Liked” the application will all affect the amount of the payout.

Stone Age, Classical Age, Modern Age… and beyond! Get ready to advance through the stages of history, and transform your humble little hamlet into a thriving civilization!

When you and a friend become Allies, you are both given each other’s Embassies. By placing your Embassy in his or her city, your friend allows you to visit and collect from the Embassy every day.

At the same time, placing your friend’s Embassy in your city will increase your citizens’ Happiness, and your civilization’s Culture Points. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship!

What’s more, collecting from an Embassy often will cause that Embassy to Level Up, increasing both its payout, and the Happiness it causes!

Once you reach Level 5, you’ll unlock the ability to go on Expeditions to other civilizations.

Once there, you can either Attack, Trade or participate in a Cultural Exchange with the other civilization.

How to Explore:

Click the Expeditions Icon to go to the Map. There, you can roll over various civilizations to see some stats. You can choose to Explore and visit the civilization, or Quick Attack without visiting first.

If you’ve chosen to explore the civilization, you’ll go to that civilization, and see a limited, obscured view of the city. Your advisors will advise you on your options, and help you choose the best one.

Attack:

The results of an Attack are based on the Attack and Defense Points of you and your opponent, as well as your population amounts. Attack and Defense Points are largely derived from Military Buildings, and certain Marvels.

Winning an Attack will earn you Population. Losing will deduct a small amount of Silver Coins.

Trade:

The results of a Trade are based on the Trade Points of you and your opponent, as well as your population amounts. Trade Points are largely derived from Economic Buildings like Markets and Goods Buildings, as well as certain Marvels.

Winning a Trade will earn you Silver Coins. Losing will deduct a small amount of Silver Coins.

Cultural Exchange:

The results of a Cultural Exchange are based on the Culture Points of you and your opponents, as well as your population amounts. Culture Points are largely derived from Cultural Buildings and Decorations, as well as certain Marvels.

Winning a Cultural Exchange will earn you XP. Losing will deduct a small amount of Silver Coins.

Quick Attack:

A Quick Attack obey the same rules as a standard attack, but without visiting the civilization first.

Expedition Limits:

If your civilization has dirty buildings, you won’t be able to explore other civilizations.

You are given a set number of Expeditions every day, which recharge slowly over time. Expanding your city’s boundaries will also increase the number of Expeditions you can go on every day.

In City of Wonder, you’ll

• BUILD up a prosperous civilization

• RESEARCH exciting new technologies

• EXPLORE other civilizations to attack and trade

… and progress through the ages of time!
